Card Border Example


Here is an example of the border and text for the Tree deck. I may tweak this some more....thoughts?

I like the images but the border curlicues and typeface doesn't enhance your images. Your own art is flat color planes so the three-dimensional "shadow" behind the words doesn't really correspond, and your own hand is whimisical and "uneven" while the typeface is uniform. I'd love to see you print the names & numbers yourself and draw a few curlicues in your own hand for th borders....just my two cents! Lovely project--you go girl! (debra from AT)

Well, I hate my own handwriting, so I didn't want to put it on there. This font actually does have some curls and swirls, although not on those particular letters. Thanks for the input! :)

I agree with Debra - your artwork has so much to say, that I feel a simple, slender, even colorless border would better highlight your images. At a minimum, I would encourage you to remove the scrolls at the corners on the borders - there is such an emphasis on the spiral in your work already, that I feel a plain border will better highlight your images. :)
